J. Stalin & Livewire Records Holiday Update

The year is coming to a close, but J. Stalin & Livewire Records are staying busy with a slew of shows and releases. First up is Stalin’s new street album ‘The Real World West Oakland pt. 3′, which features production exclusively from DJ Fresh & The Whole Shabang. Make sure you pick that up December 14th.
Then, only a few days after that prepare to spend X-mas with the MOB as Husalah, the Jacka, J. Stalin & D-Lo take the stage at the Phoenix Theatre in Petaluma on December 18th! You won’t wanna miss this, and you can get your tickets here:

2010 has been a big year for the Sem City resident, and 2011 is going to be even bigger. With 9 street albums/mixtapes this year, Philthy has been releasing a steady stream of good music. He’s dropping his 2nd major album, Trip’n 4 Life, in January and has even more in the works, including an album with Messy Marv! Here’s the newest video from T4L called “Let The Money Talk”, where Philthy hooks up with 2 of Denver’s hottest artists, Young Doe & Innerstate Ike Directed by Damon Jamal.

Philthy Rich is constantly flooding the market with brand new projects. An artist can drop as many mixtapes and street albums as he wants, but a real album only comes once in a while. Philthy is preparing his next official long play solo project called “Trip’N 4 Life” which is scheduled for January 11th. Don’t mistake it with the street album with the same title which dropped earlier this year. The official one will include guest appearances from E-40, Messy Marv, J Stalin, Stevie Joe, The Jacka, Husalah, Rydah J. Check out this new video from Sem City’s general off of his next Town Thizzness release, Trip’n 4 Life, dropping in early 2011. For this video Philthy enlisted the help of Stevie Joe and Rydah J. Klyde, both of whom know the pain of the streets well. Every rapper Rydah dropped a collaboration album with has died (Mac Dre, Johnny Ca$h, King Freako) and Stevie lost his wife Shandra while still struggling with his own addictions. The video concept is of a bank robbery gone wrong – an example of when a risky lick turns into a painful memory. With a great cast and creative directing by Damon Jamal, this is more like a movie than a music video. Check it out.
